Porcelain Dental Veneers are a custom made cover for the front surface of the tooth. These veneers are very versatile and can be used to close gaps between teeth, align crowding or protruding teeth, or whiten discoloured teeth. A dental veneer can make a chipped tooth look whole again.
To achieve a natural look, the colour of the surrounding teeth is matched on a porcelain shade guide and by visiting the ceramist to make sure the correct colour is selected to match your existing teeth.
Some of the shiny, outer enamel tooth surface may be removed so that the veneer can be easily bonded permanently in place later. The amount of enamel removed is minimal and will be the same as the thickness of the veneer to be fitted, allowing the tooth to stay the same size.
The porcelain covers the whole of the front of the tooth, with a thicker section replacing any broken part. Veneers can also be used to close small gaps, when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable. If one tooth is slightly out of position, a veneer can sometimes be fitted to bring it into line with the others.

Perfect Shade Matching. With a wide colour palette to choose from our shade matching enables us to perfectly match the colour of your teeth.
High Quality Materials. We use feldspathic and eMax veneers developed by experts and prepared for us in Harley Street by skilled ceramists. They are designed to last.
Before beginning your treatment, I will discuss with you the reasons why you want to improve your smile and what you like and don’t like about it. I will be honest about how much can be achieved and recommend the most suitable treatment choices to meet your expectations and your budget.
We will take impressions of your teeth and send them to the dental ceramist who will create a “diagnostic wax up” on the models of what the teeth should look like with perfect harmony and shape.
In certain circumstances, when the teeth have been worn down, we can carry out a trial smile. This will show you how you would like with the new smile by adding material to your teeth by using a mould of the diagnostic wax up.
Once you are happy to proceed the teeth are prepared for the new veneers. The new temporaries are made and fitted to the teeth and you will be reviewed to ensure you are happy with the new shape/size.
Once you are happy you will be seen by the ceramist to take the correct shade.
In your follow-up appointment, I will fit the veneers, adhering them in place and making sure they fit properly and that you are pleased with them. I will usually see you a few days later to check that you feel that they are comfortable.
